Otto Neumaier studied Philosophy and German Language and Literature at the University of Innsbruck. Since 1980, he has worked at the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Humanities, of the University of Salzburg, first as Assistant Professor, from 2005 as Associate Professor. He retired from his Professorship in 2017. Otto was Deputy Head of the Centre for Ethics and Poverty Research (CEPR) since its foundation in 2005 until 2017.
